This table is an excerpt of a much larger list of all soldiers recorded to have served Virginia in the Confederate armed forces. All of these records can be found at the Library of Virginia web site, in the Electronic Indexes area. This may not be a complete listing of all Womack's that served in Virginia during the Civil War. It is only what is available from the Library of Virginia online index. Also, it is important to understand that the Library of Virginia may have even more items relating to this subject that are not currently displayed online. You should contact the Library of Virginia with any questions you might have.

For each soldier his name, rank, company, and regiment are listed. The volume and page on which the soldier can be found is also listed. You will notice that each name has a link. Clicking on the name will take you directly to the web page of the Confederate Roster index at the Library of Virginia web site. I built up this table by compiling the data from each one of these pages. I would like to thank the Library of Virginia for doing such a tremendous job of getting their information online. It is making it much easier for those of us that are out-of-state to do our family research.
