Sorry to be posting again...but I just found something else on Thomas Wamack b. 1842. I have a letter from 2 have his grandsons (by different children) that both refer to Thomas as an immigrant. One says that Thomas was born on the ship on the way here. I don't know if this is true or not.
My grandfather's name was William Jennings Womack. He died on July 5, 1993 (I think). I do not know very much about his family. I know he was from Wyoming, one of his grandparents was an indian, he was a soldier in the Korean war. All of his children and his wife live in Texas (some around Austin, some in and around Houston). I would like to learn all I can about any of my ancestors because I don't know anything else about them.
Does anyone know where sprintmail.net is located? Please email me. PJ

[posted by webmaster] Being new to the computer world, I was just browsing to see if I could find any other Womacks on the net. I didn't realize there was so many in the States, there are not so many up here, as far as I know, I' m the only one this side (east) of Toronto, Ontario. My family came over to Canada from England (Liverpool) in 1952. The first recorded Womack in Eng. was Henry Womack, the vicar of Great Ellingham in Norfolk, 1601. We believe Womack is of Polish origin? That's about all that we know.
The email address of Robert M. Turner (firstname.lastname@example.org) has apparently gone bad. It will be marked as 'lost' in the next site update and removed if not updated in a month or so. If Robert is reading this or if you know his new email address, please send it to me. I'd hate having to remove him from our index. Thanks, -Mark
Mary Ann Womack,bn.1819 in NC. Married John Hemphill in 1839. Died after 1880. Need any and all info on her and her ancestors. Thanks!

Hello all you Womacks. My name is Frank & I have 2 brothers - Gerald (Pat) & Randy. We are Dallas Texans. Our Dad is Gerald (Jerry) Womack. He & his 2 brothers (Bill & Teddie) were the first triplets born in Dallas. Their sisters name was Sue. Their parents names were David & Ester Womack. I know no further information, but I'm looking. Apperantly David was a snake and my Dad won't talk about him at all. He left my Dads family when he was about 6 years old. Can anyone out there help me with any information or how to go about getting it. . Many thanks, Frank James Womack

I have done the deed and chosen a new ISP to host the WGN site. At the end of this month the WGN pages will be moving to a new domain name: www.womacknet.com. I chose Earthlink for the ISP and used them to set up the domain name. I figured it was time the WGN had its own home. That and I want to only do this once. It's going to be a big change. Things may get a little crazy during the transition, so please be patient. More details will follow. -Mark
Notice I have a new server and E mail address...no that I git that many mails; but, jest in case.....
All. I got this E mail today. Hello Sam, I have some bad news, my father passed away on June 16. He went in for surgery on a circulation problem with his foot. The surgery went fine, the next morning he woke up talking and doing ok. Then (they think) a blood clot hit his heart, and he died about 30 min. later. We just found his password a couple of days ago, and i'm trying to contact his associates. He is buried in Ceder Hill Cemetery Scottsboro, Al. at our family plots. He is buried across from I believe his aunt and uncle Mary Irene Stevens Womack and Alexander Edgar Womack and their daughter Elizabeth Womack. If you know of other people whom may be interested please let me know. We are going through his records (he has lots of records) and if I can do anything for you email anytime. thank you Leland Keith Womack jr. Anyone wanting to contact Keith can do so at Keith.Womack@gte.net

My great-grandmother was Mildred Pryor Womack, born 9/11/1867, daughter of Abner Pryor Womack, born 5/5/1806, and his 2nd wife Telitha, born 3/20/ 1824. They settled in Morgan, Bosque County, Texas. Apparently there were many other Womacks in Morgan and Bosque County. I am looking for information to fill in what I already have. I have some information about cemetery listings and family history, as well as copies of some family bible pages. As I trace Abner Pryor Womack back to Richard Womack of of Henrico Co. Va. I have less and less about siblings of the direct ancestors. I have found some interesting information already on the Womack web page.

MARK AND WIFE!!! CONGRATULATIONS ON THE NEW MUNCHKIN!!
I'd appreciate any information about the ancestors of Ida Lou Womack (1871-1945) who was the wife of John Thomas Nance. She died in Texas. Their children were Hope Roseman b 1892 Clint b 1895, John Thomas "Jet" and Henry Clyde b 1897. Thanks.
Sam: I have tried to reply to your recent email messages, but they are immediately returned. I apologize for not answering your kind notes sooner re Alex papers and Helen Ring Womack, but I have had problems with my Mother and have finally gotten her into an Assited Living facility this week. I'm in the midst of clearing out her Condo and trying to get her comfortable. I would appreciate any information you can help me with. I had written to Helen Ring Womack about two years ago and the letter was returned. I then wrote to a Jay Womack (thought it might be her son)and the letter was never answered, so I presumed she was deceased. My mistake! Will be back in touch with you later. Thanks once again. Carolyn

Please note the new email address. Tonight I will begin shutting down the AOL WGN site, and transferring all of the files to the new womacknet.com site. The new address for the WGN home page will be: http://www.womacknet.com/. Anyone accessing the AOL site will be forwarded to the new site, but only for a limited time. Please update any bookmarks you may have. The Message Page will be residing on the AOL site for a while longer, until I can figure out how to use a custom CGI for the new site. There should be little to no interuption of services. Wish us luck! -Mark

During your wanderings around the web, if you happen upon a page that has a link to our old home page, please feel free to email the owner of the web site to let them know about our new location. I have spent some time doing this, but there are some I have missed, I am sure. I have also submitted our new location to all of the major search engines. Hopefully people will still be able to find us! Thanks! -Mark
My Grandfather authored a book that documented our family linage to Thomas and Louvisa Rice Womack. It was published shortly after his death in 1969. I am very interested if anyone has traced the history beyond that point. I am new to the study of geneology and would appreciate any information that is available. Thanks.
Mom and I really like the look of your new Web page! Keep up the good work! Thanks to WGN we have come up with a lot of info on our Womack line. But (of course) there's still a lot to go!

He grew up there, where he learned printing. He lived in Batavia Ill. He had at least 1 brother and I think 3 sisters. He died in the ealry 80's and was buried in Batavia. He told me that our name used to be Wommack but his grandfather changed it. He lived in Central Florida, that is where I was born. I have 1 brother, Stephen still living there.
